The Egg of our Villages

Cherry rhymes with gluttony! 🍒And it’s not this recipe for clafoutis that will say the opposite. Treat yourself !
Ingredients :
  • 40g of butter
  • 20cl of milk
  • 100g of flour
  • 60g caster sugar
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Icing sugar
  • 600g fresh or frozen cherries
Preparation :
1. Preheat the oven to 210°C (thermostat 7).
2. Quickly wash the cherries under running cold water, hull them and drain them.
3. Melt the 40 g of butter in a small saucepan with a thick bottom.
4. Mix the flour, sugar, salt and vanilla sugar in a large bowl.
5. Add the eggs little by little then the milk little by little while continuing to mix.
6. Add the melted butter.
7. Butter the dish generously, arrange the cherries then pour the clafoutis batter.
8. Put in the oven for 10 minutes at 210°C then lower to 180°C and cook for another 20 minutes.
9. Serve the clafoutis cold or warm, sprinkled with icing sugar.
